I knew the answer, before I asked,
and hoped for a surprise.
I didn’t know how numb I’d be to the disappointment.

No tears, no anger, no negative self-talk, just numbness masked as acceptance.
For accept, I do not.

The fire in me wants to rage, to burn, to cleanse.
The water wants to flow.
A whirlwind wants to be created.
But, the earth wants to stay grounded, filtering the other elements into calm, positive, loving energy.
To end the cycle, and begin a new.

I’m numb, and can not continue this fight.
You’re content with your misery;
so I must be numb to endure the pain of losing you.

  1. I wanted to put my thoughts here but I didn’t. Now, since you are acquainted with my poetry. I should do it now, I think letting go sometimes is the best thing. You never know what awaits you, it could be something beautiful. I believe everything happens for a reason. 🙂
